Arkalgud gold to contest from Bangalore North.

Forum Against Corruption is requesting A T Ramaswamy of Arkalgud to contest the 2019 LS elections from Bangalore north. ATR is affectionately called ‘Arkalgud Gold’ in the inner circle. ATR is known for his honesty, integrity,straightforwardness and simplicity. A decade ago
he headed a committee to look into land grabbing, illegal encroachment of government land in and around Bangalore rural and urban districts. He is responsible for protecting /restoring back to government, nearly 20,000 acres of government land being encroached by land sharks, including the land illegally acquired by former super cop. In 2014,members of the Anti Land-Grabbing Action Committee, led by ATR and H S Doreswamy intensified their protest and launched an indefinite fast demanded setting up of a special court to deal with cases concerning land-grabbing and to invoke Goonda Act against officials who have joined hands with the land mafia. This led to
the then government to appoint a special judge look in to the matter.

ATR  is a leading light in fight  against corruption. He is one of the rarest of rare politician in the whole country. Country needs such politicians to weed out many ills of the society.

Government has announced the amalgamation of three public sector lenders -- Bank of Baroda, Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank. The announcement was made after a meeting of the ‘alternative mechanism’ set up last year to consider consolidation in the banking sector.

The proposal will now need to be passed by the boards of individual banks and share swap ratios arrived at.

Unimpressed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s explanation in  ‘Man ki Baat’ programme, social activist Anna Hazare accused him of “misleading” farmers on land acquisition Bill.

Responding to Modi’s argument that the opposition parties were “misleading” farmers, 77-year-old anti-corruption activist said “Modi has been misleading the farmers over the Land Acquisition Bill.

Hazare said Modi was watching others with “coloured glasses” and “this bill itself was misleading.

World Bank has cut the China's growth in 2015 to 7.1 percent from earlier 7.5%. China's Q1 earnings this year, could be the lowest in the last 6 years, according to World Bank.

SBI CUTS RATES                                                                       12-04-2015

SBI has announced a cut in home loan interest rate by up to 0.25 per cent for new borrowers.

For women borrowers the rate has been aligned to the base rate at 9.85 per cent per annum.However, for other borrowers, the interest rate will be 9.90 per cent, 5 basis points higher than the base rate or the minimum lending rate.The rates will be applicable for all new home loans sanctioned on or after April 13.

Infosys founder and former top boss NR Narayana Murthy appears to be leaning closer to Aam Aadmi Party amid speculation that Arvind Kejriwal is keen to bring on board India's best-known name in information technology. 

After V Balakrishnan, a former Infosys director, joined AAP and contested from Bengaluru last year, it appears that Kejriwal is keen to tap Murthy's expertise in various areas.

In a marked departure from tradition, Infosys will announce the its fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2015 results  on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:15 p.m.


The RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan warned banks against over lending to the infrastructure sector saying that it should not override financial stability.
The nation has enormous financing needs in infrastructure, and far too many of our banks already have too much exposure. Big corporate infrastructure players have also taken too much debt. The required national push to finance infrastructure should not override financial stability, which is key to national security.


RBI has approved the merger of Kotak Mahindra Bank and ING Vysya Bank. From now on, all ING branches will function as Kotak branches.  

The acquisition will make Kotak Mahindra Bank the fourth largest private sector lender in the country, will  have about 1,200 branches and a total business of Rs 2.25 lakh crore, as on December 2014, and a combined market capitalization of close to Rs 1.25 lakh crore.


The cash-strapped railways will end up saving Rs 10,000 crore annually if the railway board stops all centralized procurement, according to 'Metro man' E Sreedharan. 


 Narendra Modi will launch on April 8 the Rs 20,000 crore MUDRA Bank. MUDRA stands for Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency.
